Repeat Prescriptions

Urgent prescription requests must be made at the reception desk by completion of an urgent request form.  You will be advised when the prescription will be ready to collect.

  • Placing your repeat slip marked with the items you require into the surgery prescription post box.
  • Handing your repeat slip into one of the local chemists.
  • Post.  Please enclose an SAE
  • By following the link on this page to the online form

Please note, we do not have a prescription order line and are unable to take requests over the phone.  All requests must be in writing.  For all repeat prescriptions two working-days notice must be given (plus Saturday and Sunday) before collection.

TIME-SCALES FOR PRESCRIPTION

ORDERING / COLLECTION

 

The table below shows when repeat prescriptions (as shown on your most recent repeat prescription order sheet) should be ready for collection either by the patient’s chosen Pharmacy or by the patient/representative at reception.

N.b. The exceptions to this rule are;

·  Requests for NON-REPEAT medications, ie medications that are NOT on your most recent repeat prescription order sheet.

·  When patients have failed to attend review appointments for medication or medical conditions as requested by a GP.

·  When the practice is closed for Public Holidays. (Please ask a member of staff when the prescription can be expected to be ready under these circumstances.)

Day when Prescription is ready to collect by patient or Pharmacy.

N.b. If you use one of the pharmacies collection services, allowance will need to be made over and above these times for pharmacies to deliver requests to and collect prescriptions from us.

You can ask for your repeat prescriptions to be sent to one of the following chemists which collect from us every week day:  Boots the Chemist (High Street), Boots (Glassgreen Centre), Boots Springfield Retail Park (opposite Asda) Lloyds pharmacy, Lloyds west-end pharmacy, Bishopmill pharmacy, John-Ross Lossiemouth pharmacy and Lhanbryde pharmacy.

Also there are Duthies of Hopeman/Burghead and Lloyds in Lossiemouth which collect once a week.
