General Advice
We encourage all our patients to share responsibility for their health, both in preventing disease and treating existing disease. Prevention is better than cure. Many of the most serious diseases can be prevented by a healthy lifestyle, including regular exercise, and a balanced diet. Cigarette smoking is responsible for a wide range of serious medical conditions.
Practice Nurses
The Doctors are supported by a team of Practice Nurses. They have a varied workload including: General health advice, Travel Health, Immunisations, Wound management, Diabetes management, Asthma management, etc.
The Practice Nurses are available Monday to Friday by appointment only.

At Linkwood Medical we offer a range of clinics including: Asthma clinic, COPD clinic, Blood pressure clinic, Cardiovascular disease clinic, Heart Failure clinic, Diabetic clinic, Warfarin testing clinic, Travel advice clinic, Well-woman clinic, Child immunisation clinic etc.
Test Results and Telephone advice
The results line is open between 11.00am-1.00pm Monday to Fridays. Please call 0845 337 6350 and choose the results line from the selection options.
Non-NHS Services
Certain services provided by your doctor are not covered by the NHS and you will be asked to pay a fee in line with BMA tariff. For example: Pre-employment medicals, Private medicals, Insurance claims, Private certificates, DVLA medicals, Travel advice and vaccinations. If you have any queries about fees or any other private medical services, please discuss them with the receptionist or the practice manager.
